Epoxy Injection Crack

Structural crack epoxy application is a procedure used to eliminate corrosion by filling cracks in concrete to seal off reinforcing steel from the elements. In most situations a flaw in the footings will allow the structure to settle improperly. This settlement causes strucural cracking to occur. Once pressure grouting is performed to stabilize the footings, an epoxy is applied to the cracks so the reinforcement would not be subject to moisture and air which can ultimately allow the steel to corrode and expand causing significant spalling.
